About Us

Ideally situated in the heart of Salthill Village, Barnacles Seafood Bar and Restaurant is the concept of the dynamic partnership of Mark Commins and Conor Graham. The duo are well known in the West of Ireland for Linnane’s Lobster Bar in the Burren and Flaggy Shore Oysters, and are delighted to bring their unique dining flair to Salthill.

The menu at Barnacles is designed to bring the best of the Irish Sea, straight to your plate. We take pride in sourcing from local suppliers to bring you the freshest seafood in Ireland. The Barnacles Sunday Roast will appeal to all ages, and children will be sure to find something they love on their special menu.

We have dining and bar areas to suit any occasion. Our outdoor deck faces the Salthill Street front and is the perfect daytime location for people-watching while enjoying cocktails & food in the sun. The main floor caters for inside dining as well as bar seating. Downstairs can be privately rented for corporate functions or larger dining options. Art at Barnacles

Tiffani Love is an artist originally from Northern New York, now living and working in the West of Ireland. Her oil paintings focus on landscapes primarily in her local environment along the coastlines of Clare and Galway. Love’s artistic process involves walking through the landscape and observing it directly from life, documenting these experiences through photography, video, and sketches, before returning to the studio to respond to the experience through paint. Her paintings reference the many layers of a landscape, including the light, season, and atmosphere. Along with making the paintings, she builds her own frames and paints them in hues to coordinate with the individual works.

Love received her MFA in 2022 from the Burren College of Art. She has exhibited widely, with recent exhibitions in Galway, Cork, Belfast, and further afield in New York and Nashville, United States. She is a recipient of the Agility Award from the Arts Council of Ireland and an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant in 2022. Love has been a member of Barton Studios in Galway since 2022.
